Why Oh Why v.2.0 (Version Two Point Oh)

Caturday Cafe Bangkok, Thailand

1. Why do vampires bite only on the neck?

–Imagine Dracula biting you on the forehead or worst…your armpit!

2. Why do some people still touch an object with a warning note “Wet Paint” or “Hot Surface”?

–They just want to check if that’s true or they’re just dopey.

3. Why do some people in a crowded place turn their attention on something that’s going on whether close or far from where they are?

–Ha! Mga chismoso kag chismosa!!!

4. Why brownout?

–Color blindness. Should it be blackout during the night and whiteout during the day? How about afternoon? Yellow?

5. Why do some girls take too much time to dress up?

–They’re fickle-minded. It’ll take gazillions of wardrobes before they’re satisfied with their look. I bet if only the mirror could move it’ll slam itself on the girl to stop her already.

6. Why do some peoples’ password contain their special someone’s name?

–Ka-ma-i-san!!! As in corny! Or they do that so they won’t forget about their cupkik.

7. Why is that most computer gamers are guys?

–…’coz males are inherently violent and are entertained when games are geared toward violence and also most games are geared for males. Is that right?

8. Why can’t some people just ask one person and believe their answer? E.g. Person1: May test bwas? Person2: Uu. May ara. Person1: Tuod bla? Person2: Uu gani. (Person1 asks another person).

–Ha! That person doesn’t trust you! Pamangkot pa! Uli-anon daad.

9. Why do some girls walk too slowly in a busy road causing traffic jam among others who are running late?

–They’re just GRACEFUL that’s why. Or they’re just exempted from gravity which allows them to float and flow slowly an inch above the ground ‘coz they’re soooo graceful.

10. Why do most passengers say “Sa lugar lang” and immediately expects the driver to stop when in fact “Sa lugar lang” means to stop at the regulated or designated vehicle stops?

–That’s what had people been commonly used to. Sa lugar lang. Sa LUGAR lang. SA LUGAR LANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11. Why do some people believe that when you drop a spoon, you’ll likely have a female visitor and if you drop a fork a male visitor will come?

–I have no idea. May be during the ancient times a female’s soul got trap in a spoon and a male’s soul in a fork then it was cursed to actually lure individuals once either of the items touch the ground. Very believable!

12. Why is that whenever a candy (or any food) drops on the ground by accident some people would hurry to pick it up and say “Wala pa 5 minutes!” (“It’s not yet 5 minutes”)?

–Ha! I really like the way Jessica Zafra explained this one. According to her the moment the candy hits the ground the bacteria and other microscopic organisms were so shocked with what happened, thus, were momentarily under stunned status.
